Joyce T. Palmer

August 31, 2016 Mrs. Joyce Trammell Palmer, age 82 of 415 C. Street, Jonesville, widow of Harold Dean Palmer, Sr., went home to be with the Lord, August 31, 2016 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Palmer was born in Union, September 12, 1933, a daughter of the late Gary and Mattie Davis Trammell. She was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church where she was a member of the Emily McBride Sunday School Class and the Happy Heart Group. Surviving are three sons, Marion E. Palmer, Donnie Palmer and wife Kathy and Harold Dean Palmer, Jr., and wife Annette all of Jonesville; two sisters, Janice Fowler of Jonesville and Maggie Howell of Union; two brothers, Gary Trammell of Union and Francis Trammell of Jonesville; a special niece, Sonya Sanford of Jonesville; four grandchildren, Nikki Palmer of Charlotte, Brooks Palmer of Jonesville, Kelly Harris of Mayo and Jason Palmer of Greenville and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Palmer was predeceased by a son, Ronnie Palmer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Jeff Dean and Rev. Johnny Burgess. Burial will be at Jonesville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Gregg Sanford, Dylan Thomason, Gregory Sanford, Jr., Dennis Howell, John Young and Brent Harris. Members of the Emily McBride Sunday School Class and the Happy Hearts Group are asked to sit in a group. Memorials may be made Jonesville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 279, Jonesville, SC 29353 Mrs. Palmer will be carried to the home, 415 C. Street Jonesville, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Thursday evening.
