Joyce Greer Smith

Mrs. Joyce Greer Smith, age 75, of 119 Pasture Dr., Union, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Smith was born in December 1, 1942 in Union, a daughter of the late George Wesley "Ned" Greer and Macie Berry Greer. She graduated from Union High School and retired from Cryovac in 2004. Mrs. Smith was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Cynthia S. Brewington and husband Troy of West Springs; one son, Robert Wesley "Robbie" Smith and friend Laurie Hulon of Union; two sisters, Frances G. Brown and Sandra G. Cain both of Union; a granddaughter, Tayler Brewington of West Springs; three special grandchildren, Olivia McCary of Ninety-Six, Landon Hulon and Levi Hulon both of Union; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Dennis Wayne Greer. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale and Pastor Alex Hanvey. Visitation will be immediately following the services at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at their respective homes.
