Joyce Mills Turner

Mrs. Joyce Mills Turner, age 88 of 309 Mills Street, Lockhart, widow of William Turner, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Turner was born in South Carolina December 1, 1927, a daughter of the late Lawson Mills and Ollie Farmer Mills. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and retired from Lockhart Mill. Mrs. Turner was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where she had formerly served as church organist. Surviving are a daughter, Patsy Fowler of Lockhart; a grandson, Patrick Fowler and wife Tina of Union; three great-grandchildren: James Patrick Fowler, Dylan Fowler and Zack Fowler all of Union. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Lockhart First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Delos Blanton. Burial will be in the Lockhart Cemetery Active Pallbearers will be Paul Inman, Mark Inman, Ron Lamb, Scott Vlock, Steve Robinson and Brent Greer. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church Youth Fund, P.O. Box 190, Lockhart, SC 29364. The family will be at the home, 309 Mills Street, Lockhart.
