Joyce (Middlebrooks) Vanderford

Mrs. Joyce Middlebrooks Vanderford, age 87, widow of Charles "Buddy" Vanderford, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Vanderford was born February 2, 1937 in Union, a daughter of the late Leroy Middlebrooks and Lois Rymer Middlebrooks.  She was a graduate of Union High School and had worked at various Doctors Offices in Union throughout her career.  Mrs. Vanderford was a lifelong member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Vincent Vanderford and wife Beth of Moore; a daughter, Charla V. McClure of Washington State; three grandsons, Nicholas Vanderford, Harrison Vanderford, and Eli McClure; two granddaughters, Elizabeth McClure and Taylor Shope; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Myra Middlebrooks and Jane Austin, both of Union.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be immediately following the services at the cemetery.
