Juanita Black Cooper

January 3, 2017 Ms. Juanita Black Cooper, age 63, of 437 Bill Black Rd., Union, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at her home after a battle with breast cancer. Ms. Cooper was born in Union, SC September 11, 1953 a daughter of Elizabeth Foster Black and the late William Black. She was a retired Registered Nurse. Surviving are one daughter Katie Cooper Freeman and husband Dennis of Chapin; one son, Robbie Cooper and wife Megan of Spartanburg; one sister, Jenny Main of Gilbert, SC; two brothers, Earl Black and Allen Black both of Union; three grandchildren, Jack and Henry Cooper and Lucy Freeman; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Patricia B. Murphy. Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. David Nichols. Visitation will be held following the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615. The family is at the home of her mother, 334 Ben Black Rd., Union, SC 29379.
