Judith Echols Wentz

August 13, 2016 Mrs. Judith Echols Wentz, age 66 wife of Dr. Robert M. Wentz, of 128 Heathwood Rd., Union, SC., went to be with the Lord August 13, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Wentz was born July 27, 1950 a daughter of the late Wilson Echols and Hazel Reeher Echols. She was a graduate of Union High School and University of South Carolina, Upstate. Mrs. Wentz was a nurse a Wallace Thomson Hospital until she retired after twenty-five years of service. She also attended Duncan Acres United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Katherine Kingsmore Knox and husband James of TN. and Susan Wentz of Union; four sons, Kevin Kingsmore and wife Crystal of Spartanburg, Rev. Merritt Wentz and wife Lucy of Union, William Jack Wentz of Jonesville and Patrick Wentz and wife Beth of Jonesville; a special granddaughter, Candice Grady of Union; a sister Deborah Howell of FL. And a brother, Wilson Echols, Jr. and wife Charlene of GA. She was loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Merritt Wentz. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Caregivers and Medi Home Hospice. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the service in the church parlor.
