Judy Babb

Mrs. Judy Posey Babb, age 83, of 136 Pinewood Acres Rd, Union, widow of Curtis Lewis Babb, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at Union Post Acute Care.

Mrs. Babb was born in Union, April 4, 1941, a daughter of the late William David Posey and Louise Knox Posey. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Wallace Thompson Hospital. She had also worked at Piggly Wiggly grocery store and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was lovingly known by her family and friends as "Granny Judy" and "the cake lady".

Surviving are a son, Michael Babb of the home and friend, Kelly Mullinax; a granddaughter, Brittany Martin and husband Chase and their children, Kane and Krew of Chesnee; a special granddaughter, Heather Gilkinson and husband Brian and their children, Wyatt Grady, Boston Gilkinson and Kaelyn Gilkinson of Myrtle Beach, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lennie Wells and June Sexton.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 1, 2024 at Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum conducted by Rev. Buddy Hogan. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the services.
