Judy Lynne Cameron Gill Union, Sc

Mrs. Judy Lynne Cameron Gill, age 50, wife of Charles Norman "Charlie" Gill, of 140 Longview Dr., Lockhart, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gill was born in Chester, May 9, 1964, a daughter of Brenda Miller Cameron of Union and the late Bobby Joe Cameron. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and USC-Union. Mrs. Gill was a member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church. She worked in retail for a number of years, having owned her own business and was formerly manager of Bath and Body Works of Union. Mrs. Gill was one of the first female firefighters in Union County, having volunteered with Buffalo Fire Department. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are a daughter, Ashley Lynne Gill Castle of Lockhart; a brother Edward Scott Cameron and husband Francis Rualo of Pleasant Hill, CA; three grandchildren, Cameron Lynne Gill, Charles Joe Scott Gill, and Logan Brian Castle. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, August 29, 2014 at Lockhart Freewill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brian Bishop and Rev. Steve Lemons. Burial will follow at Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Chester. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Lee Brannon, Mark Wade, Michael Sanders, Dennis Frost, Gerald McCool and William Barefoot. The family is at the home of her mother, Brenda Cameron, 1500 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Jonesville, SC 29353.
