Mrs. Judy Ann Haney Petty, age 76, of 123 Meadow Ln., Buffalo, widow of Jack Rhine Petty, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Petty was born December 20, 1946, in Union, a daughter of the late Walter J. Haney and Maddie Lee Ghorley Haney. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Torrington. Mrs. Petty was a member of Putman Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and served on the Church Finance Committee. She was an avid follower of Union County Baseball and Softball.
Surviving are two sons, Allen Petty and wife Courtney of Buffalo and Tommy Petty and wife Karen of Union; a sister, Nancey Solesbee of North Augusta; her fur baby, Ellie Mae; four grandchildren, Jessica Gibson and husband Matt of Greer, Aaron Petty and girlfriend, Krislyn Moore and daughter, Kinley of Buffalo, Katelyn Petty of Union, and Kalli Petty of Union; a great-granddaughter, Allison Gibson; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Haney of Virginia, Cindy Haney of Union, and Debbie Haney of Union…; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Rodney Solesbee. She was predeceased by two sisters, Carolyn Haney and Audrey Faye Henderson and four brothers, Eugene Haney, Alfred Haney, Rickey Wayne Haney, and Danny Ray Haney.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Putman Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Donald Tillman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be immediately following the services in the church. After 12:00 Noon Friday, December 30, 2022, those wishing to pay their respects to Mrs. Petty may visit Holcombe Funeral Home.
