Julian Vinson French

April 10, 2015 Mr. Julian Vinson French, age 92, of 388 Kelly Road, Union, widower of Doris Bowen French, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at his home. Mr. French was born in High Point, NC on November 2, 1922 a son of the late George French and Lois Earwood French. He was a graduate of Shelby High School in Shelby, NC. Mr. French was retired as Supervisor of the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse of Cone Mills - John Wolfe Plant. He was a veteran of the US Army and was of the Methodist Faith. Surviving are a daughter, Vicki Taylor and husband Jimmie Lee of Union; three grandchildren Juliana Lindenberg of Cary, NC, Amy Miller of Cary, NC, and Cassie Humphries of Buffalo; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Judy French Humphries. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Union Church of God conducted by the Rev. Tommy Brown and Priest Juliana Lindenberg. Burial will follow at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at the church prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Union Church of God, 1113 Thomson Blvd., Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of his daughter, Vicki and Jimmie Lee Taylor, 412 Kelly Rd., Union, SC 29379.
