Mrs. June Johnson Hopper Gregory, age 92, formerly of Jonesville Hwy., Union passed away Friday, February 4, 2022.

Mrs. Gregory was born in Chicago, Illinois May 1, 1929, a daughter of the late Roland R. Johnson and Bernice Anderson Johnson. Mrs. Gregory was the widow of Edney Henry Hopper, Jr.; she later married the late James Gregory. Mrs. Gregory was a member of the Augsburg Luther Church and retired from Vision Works.  She worked with the Union County Council on the aging and planned and executed many trips for the senior citizens.  While her children were in high school, she was very active with the Union High School Band Aid Club.

Surviving are three sons, Terry E. Hopper and wife Carolyn of Olin, NC, Kenneth A. Hopper and wife Sheila of Greer, and Timothy R. Hopper and wife Kim of Union; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  She was predeceased by a son Bruce Hopper and one brother and sister.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the S.R Holcombe Chapel conducted by the Rev. Carroll Robinson.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the chapel.

Memorials may be made to Augsburg Luther Church, P.O. Box 366, Union, SC 29379.

The family is at their respective homes.
