Mrs. June Hogan Pace, age 78, wife of Bruce Pace of Pacolet, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Pace was born in Spartanburg, August 21, 1942, a daughter of the late Lucille Patrick Hogan and John Earl Hogan. She was a graduate of Pacolet High School and was retired from the SC Department of Employment Security Commission. She was an active member of Tate Memorial Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, served as pianist and singer. She lived her life in service to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved old movies, Westerns and sports.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 59 years, Bruce are two daughters, Carole Carter and husband Kelly of Jonesville and Elizabeth "Libby" Pace of Baltimore, MD; a son, Chris Pace and wife Heather of Woodruff; five grandchildren, Katie Sherman, Devin Carter, Kyleigh Pace, Hannah Pace and Zack Pace; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pace was predeceased by a sister, Elaine Hogan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Tate Memorial Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dennis Tessnier. Private burial will be at Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
Due to the current health crisis, attendees are asked to follow COVID guidelines for social distancing and wearing masks.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302.
