Kathy W. Vinson Lockhart, Sc

Mrs. Kathy Walker Vinson, age 62, wife of John "J.T." Vinson of 117 Red Road, Union, (Lockhart Community), passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Vinson was born in Lockhart, SC, a daughter of Curtis E. "Red" Walker of Lockhart and the late Peggy Brannon Walker. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and was a former textile worker and had previously worked as a CNA for Heartland of Union. Mrs. Vinson was a member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher. Surviving in addition to her husband and father are two sons: Danny Vinson of Lockhart and Chad Vinson and wife Stacie of Union; two grandchildren: Kaycie Vinson and Emma Vinson. Mrs. Vinson was predeceased by three brothers: Kenneth E. Walker, Keith Walker and Clint Walker. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brian Bishop. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Garrett Gibson, Rodney Inman, Barry Canupp, Lee Brannon, Chris Brannon and Dale Inman. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Friday evening at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church. The family is at the home of her father, Red Walker, 116 Red Road, Union, SC 29379.
