Born on September 7, 1955, Kaye was the beloved daughter of the late Lloyd Lawson and Addie Mae Lawson. A lifelong resident of Union County, Kaye was known for her kind heart, loving spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was always there when someone needed her — a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence brought comfort, warmth, and love.
Kaye is survived by her three children: daughters Donnie "Dawn" Sprouse (Jeff) and Crystal Lawson (Lois), and her son Michael Lawson (Crystal). She was a proud and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many, including: Ashley Sprouse and her children Ashton, Natalye, Amelia, and Aries, Candace Miller (Austin) and their children Braylon, Jonan, Kinzlynn, and Aubree, Jasmine Gardin (Nate) and their daughters Blakeley and Baylee, Kathleen Heatherly (Cameron), Devin Sprouse, Kevin Sprouse and his children River and Oakley, and Rachel Lawson. Survivors also include, two brothers, Earl (Wanda) Lawson and Jerry (Patricia) Lawson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Candice and a great-granddaughter, Brinnley Kaye, brothers, Stanley Lawson and Terry Lawson, and sisters, Betty Sue and Sandra Denise.
Kaye's life was centered around her family. She loved deeply, listened intently, and always put others before herself. Her legacy lives on in the generations she helped shape with her strength, compassion, and endless love.
A celebration of life will be held by the family to celebrate her life and honor her memory at 12:00 Noon, Monday, September 1, 2025, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Norman Band and Rev. Andy Clapp. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Cameron Heatherly, Nate Gardin, Devin Sprouse, Kevin Sprouse, Ashton Sprouse, and Anthony Sparks.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon prior to the services at the church.
Mrs. Lawson will be taken to her home, 2296 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Buffalo, after 2:00 PM Sunday, August 31, 2025.
Kaye will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to live on in all those who knew her.
