Kenneth E. Garrett

Mr. Kenneth Edward Garrett, age 87, husband of Rebecca Dale Floyd Garrett of 322 Chapman Rd., Pacolet, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mr. Garrett was born in Spartanburg, November 5, 1931, a son of the late Theodore Monroe Garrett and Ellie Ward Garrett. He attended Jonesville High School and was retired from Spartan Hydraulics in Pacolet and had formerly worked in the textile industry. Mr. Garrett was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Spartanburg and was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in the Korean War. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Sandra Garrett and Robin G. McGraw and husband Neal all of Pacolet; three sons, Dale Garrett and wife Tracey and Johnny Garrett all of Pacolet and Mickey Garrett and wife Trish of Charleston; one sister, Frances Thomas of Boiling Springs; three brothers, Tommy Garrett of Lake Murray, Jerry Garrett of Pacolet and James Fred Garrett of Spartanburg; three grandsons, Josh Garrett and Danny Garrett and Jacob Threadgill; one great-grandson, Jackson Garrett. Mr. Garrett was predeceased by a grandson, Justin McGraw; two sisters, Martha Hall and Brenda Dorman; and three brothers, Theodore Monroe Garrett, Jr., Donald Garrett and Mack Garrett. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 3, 2018 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Bob Buhl. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services. The family will be at the home, 322 Chapman Rd., Pacolet.
