Kenneth Gerald "Jerry" Walton

Mr. Kenneth Gerald "Jerry" Walton, age 79 husband of Hazel Christine Jennings Walton of 805 Webber Lake Rd., Union, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Upstate Community Hospice Home.

Mr. Walton was born January 26, 1943 in Union, a son of the late Andrew Jackson Walton and Nellie Ruth Williford Walton.  He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Milliken & Co.   Mr. Walton was a Veteran of the South Carolina Army National Guard and the United States Navy.  He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.  Mr. Walton was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Kenneth Walton, Jr. and Stevie Walton and wife Kelly all of Union; six grandchildren, Kenny Walton, III and wife Amber, Dana Matherson, Tabitha Walton and fiancée P.J. Melendez, Mary Beth Owens and husband Chad, Jake Walton and wife Kimberly, and Christopher Walton; a number of great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  He was predeceased by two sons, Danny Ray Walton and William Christopher Walton; two sisters, Doretha White and Hazel Mills; and one brother Jackie Walton.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, October 17, 2022 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. Don McCutcheon.
