February 15, 2016 Mr. Kenneth Lewis Lawson, age 74, husband of Jo Ann Sprouse Lawson of 1325 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Pauline, SC passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at his home. Mr. Lawson was born in Spartanburg County, SC May 18, 1941, a son of the late George Lawson and Maybell Simmons Lawson. He retired from Arrow Automotive after twenty-three years of service and was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Mr. Lawson was a member of the Classic Chevy Club, the Carolina Classics and one of the founding members of the Bebop Classics. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Darrell Kenneth Lawson and wife Teresa and David Lewis Lawson and wife Janie all of Pauline; two brothers: Ronnie Lawson of Buffalo and Leroy Lawson of Wellford; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Lawson was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kristena Lawson, a great-grandson, Bentley Lawson, five sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jimmy Farmer and Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Randy Lawson, Bruce Lawson, Joey Lawson, Ray Lawson, Phillip Lawson and Ricky Sprouse. Close friends, co-workers and members of the Classic Car Clubs are asked to serve as the honorary escort. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:45 PM Wednesday in the church prior to the service.
