Kimberly “Kim” Faye Estes, Age 65, of Chapin, SC, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026.
Born on September 17, 1960, in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charles LeRoy Estes, Sr, and the late Rebecca “Becky” Pierce Estes.
She is survived by her brother, Charles LeRoy Estes, Jr., and his wife Tammy; niece, Alisha Riddle, and her husband Braden; great-nephew, Collin Riddle; and many close friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all.
A lifelong learner and achiever, Kim graduated as salutatorian from Union High School. She went on to attend the University of South Carolina, where she graduated magna cum laude. During her college years, she proudly served as a coquette in the University of South Carolina band, an experience she cherished and spoke of often.
A devoted Gamecock, Kim never missed an opportunity to cheer on the University of South Carolina. She found deep joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending time at the lake and loving and caring for animals.
Professionally, Kim was a Certified Public Accountant, respected for her intelligence, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail. Her career reflected her strong work ethic and commitment to helping others with care and precision.
Above all, Kim cherished her role as an aunt. She shared a special bond with her niece, Alisha, and her love extended deeply to her great-nephew, Collin, who brought her immense joy and pride.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Union Memorial Gardens, with receiving friends to follow the service.
