Kirsten R. Smith

Kirsten R. Smith, age 27, of 301 Culp St., Union, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017. Kirsten was born April 11, 1990 a daughter of Donna Phillips Smith of the home and the late Mark Smith. She was a graduate of Union County High School and was in her senior year at Spartanburg Community College. Kirsten had previously worked with ABM, Gestamp, and Enmark of Union. Surviving in addition to her mother are her maternal grandfather, Booby Wooten of Waterloo; two aunts, Lisa P. Riley and husband Billy and Deborah Southard of Buffalo; two uncles, Dennis Phillips and Brent Phillips; her boyfriend, Russ Bachelor; and five cousins, Nicole Hall, Olivia Phillips, Leann Thompson, Bud Thompson, and Caden Jackson. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Joyce Phillips Wooten and her paternal grandparents, Bobby and Jean Smith. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, August 11, 2017 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Scott Cobb. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kirsten R. Smith Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379.
