Larry E. Coker

August 24, 2017 Mr. Larry Eugene Coker, age 80 husband of Peggy Fine Coker of 80 Roselynn Rd., Pauline, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his home. Mr. Coker was born in Anderson, August 10, 1937, a son of the late Pelham and Carrie Bowie Coker. He was retried from Torrington Co., Tyger River Plant and was a member of Ottaray Baptist Church. Mr. Coker was a veteran of the US Marines. He was first married to the late Brenda B. Coker. Surviving in addition to his wife are six daughters, Terri Lawson and husband Jonathan, Nancy Coker and husband Shane, Crystal Lankford and husband Brandon, Amy Jones, Amber Whiteside and husband James, and Shirlin Ellason and husband John; one son, Steve Coker and wife Karen; a former son-in-law, Justin Jones; his father-in-law, Jimmy C. Waldrop; 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Mr. Coker was predeceased by daughter, Teresa Coker. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Kenneth Cash. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. Mr. Coker's grandsons will serve as the active pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Medical Services of America, 213 E.
