Larry Grant

Mr. Larry Jones Grant, age 79, of 1210 S. Pinckney St., Union, widower of Dottie Vaughan Grant, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his home.

Mr. Grant was born April 2, 1946, in Union, a son of the late Floyd J. Grant and Lucille Robinson Grant.  He was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from the textile industry.  Mr. Grant was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He was an avid golfer and fan of North Carolina Basketball.

Surviving are two brothers, W. Kent Grant of Lexington, Walter Gene Grant and wife Myrtis of Gilbert; two uncles, Olin Robinson of Union and Bobby Turner of Union; five nieces and nephews; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; and a number of cousins.  He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Patricia C. Grant.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Chester Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held immediately following the services at the cemetery.
