Larry Glenn Henderson

Mr. Larry Glenn Henderson, age 73, of 296 Meansville Rd., passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mr. Henderson was born in Union, March 18, 1948, a son of the late Elbert and Lillie Mae Harkins Henderson. He was a retired juvenile counselor at Camp White Pines and was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Tabitha H. Cooke and husband Monty of Union; a son, Scott Glenn Henderson of Cross Keys; the mother of his children; Sandra P. Henderson of Union; a sister, Cheryl H. Belue of Moore; two grandsons, Hunter Cooke and wife Whitney Ivey Cooke and Holden Cooke; and one great-grandson, Samuel Layne Cooke. Mr. Henderson was predeceased by a brother, Tommy Henderson of Georgia and Patty H. Brown of Union.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 14, 2021 at New Life Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Shannon Faulkner, Rev. Curt Bradford, and Mr. Jerry Gossett. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Friday at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be David Becknell, Bruce Sparks, Jr., Jeff Cannon, Conley Trammell, Jason Allen and Jim Burnett.

The following are asked to serve as the honorary pallbearers, Dennis "Bunt" Trammell, Mack Long, Jerry Williams, Andrew Chapman, and Rev. Dr. Jim Ivey.

Memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church, 502 Meansville Rd., Union.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Tabitha and Monty Cooke, 203 Lakeview Heights, Union.
