Larry A. Lawson

March 6, 2017 Mr. Larry A. "Foots" Lawson, age 64, husband of Patricia Mitchell Lawson of 120 Pinewood Acres Rd., Union, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lawson was born in Spartanburg, October 22, 1952 a son of Guy Copeland of Union and the late Martha Lawson Copeland. He was retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a member of the BPOE Lodge # 1321. Mr. Lawson was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife and father are a son, David Lawson and wife Miranda of Ft. Lewis, WA; two sisters, Tammy Davis and Marlene Davis both of Union; and five grandchildren, Christian, Walker, Jack, Hattie, and Blake Lawson. Mr. Lawson was predeceased by a son, Larry Anthony Lawson, Jr. and a brother, Charles Allen. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Moringside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Aulbrey Calvert. The family will receive friends immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Easter Seals, 3020 Farrow Rd., Columbia, SC 29203 or to Morningside Baptist Church, 112 Bates Ave., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 122 Pinewood Acres Rd., Union, SC 29379.
