Larry Wayne Vaughan

Mr. Larry Wayne Vaughan, age 76, husband of Sue Lee Vaughan of 755 Brown Creek Church Rd., went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 10, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Vaughan was born in Union, January 2, 1947, a son of the late C.C. and Bertie Vaughan. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Vaughan was employed with Timken Company having worked 56 years. He was a faithful member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Usher.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 49 years, Sue, is a son, Jamie Vaughan; a special nieces reared in the home, Kyleigh Clark; and two sisters, Joyce Adams and husband Twig and Rita Sanders and husband Timmy. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Bobo and three brothers, Floyd Vaughan, Gerald Vaughan and Chris Vaughan.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Spartanburg Regional Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Larry and his family during his illness.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Brown's Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Shawn Head and Rev. Dennis Spencer. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the services.

Members of the Men's Sunday School Class of the church are asked to sit in a group.
