Laura A. Moss

Mrs. Laura Alman "Noots" Moss, age 85 of 1184 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Moss was born in Union, August 15, 1938, a daughter of the late Willie "Bull" Alman and Norma Farr Alman. She was a graduate of Union High School and was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church. Mrs. Moss retired from the S.C. Department of Corrections, Cross Anchor Facility having worked in the cafeteria. She had previously worked at Mr. K's, Kelly One Stop and was also a caregiver.

Surviving are two grandsons, Jamison Moss and Matthew Moss both of Union; a brother, John Earl Alman and wife Evelyn of Union; two great-grandchildren, Madison Frost of Union and Jay Moss of Boiling Springs, a sister-in-law, Frances Alman of Union and a family friend, Elizabeth Gillespie of Boiling Springs. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Deanna and Charleen Alman.

She was predeceased by a son, Larry Moss and a brother, Marvin "Buddy" Alman.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Lockhart Church of God conducted by Rev. Allen McKee and Rev. Chad Ponder. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 Saturday at the church prior to the services.

The family will be at the home of her grandson, Jamison Moss, 103 Harris Circle, Union.
