February 11, 2018 Mrs. Lavenia Knox Inman, age 84 of 903 Spartanburg Hwy, Jonesville, widow of Herbert Arthur Inman, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Union Medical Center. Mrs. Inman was born in Union, SC April 13, 1933, a daughter of the late Roy Knox and Ruth Fowler Knox. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired from Jonesville Elementary School where she worked in the cafeteria. Mrs. Inman was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church where she was a member of the Happy Heart as long as her health permitted. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are a two grandchildren: Tonya Horne Smith and husband Scott of Lockhart and Robbie Horne and wife Melanie with whom she made her home; three great-grandchildren: Emily Horne Vinson and husband Gene of Jonesville, Tayla and Raina Smith of Lockhart; two great-great-grandsons: Masen and Eli Vinson of Jonesville a niece, Rhonda Black and husband Allen of Union; a nephew, Darron Wix; a son-in-law, Gene Horne both of Jonesville and numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Mrs. Inman is predeceased by infant twins, Teresa Lou and Trina Lee Inman and a daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Inman Horne. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Scott Cannon. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:45 PM Wednesday at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel prior to the graveside service. The family will be at the home of her great-granddaughter, Emily and Gene Vinson, 208 Hickory Ridge Rd, Jonesville, SC 29353.
