Lennis Willard Lawson

Mrs. Lennis Willard Lawson, age 70, of 107 Willard Rd., Union, widow of John Wayne Lawson, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Lawson was born December 26, 1951, in Union, a daughter of the late Hazel Willard and Leverene Whisnant Willard.  She was a graduate of Union High School and retired as a School Bus Driver from Union County Schools.  Mrs. Lawson was a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church for the last 35 years and had previously attended Putman Baptist Church and Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Michael Lawson of the home, Mark Lawson and wife Pam of Lexington, and Eric Lawson and wife Melanie of Union; two sisters, Jeanne Gregory of Union and Donna Owings and husband Robin of Union; and five grandchildren, Brandon Lawson, Erica Lawson, Aubrey Lawson, Hazel Lawson, and Victoria Lawson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Jim Wiseman.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
