Mr. Lewis Dempsey "Dee" Watts, Jr., age 70, husband of Linda Faye Smith Watts of 511 Lockhart Dr., Lockhart, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at his home. Mr. Watts was born in Union, March 20, 1946, a son of the late Rev. Lewis D. Watts, Sr. and Gaynell Ochiltree Watts. He was retired from the U.S. Army and was a member the S.C. National Guard. Mr. Watts attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Jennifer Watts and spouse Heather Clifton of Gastonia, NC; a son, Leslie Dion Watts and wife Brenda of Summerville; a step-son, Carl Stacey Thompson and wife Cheryl of Rock Hill; three sisters, Martha Jean Vanderford of Union, Nina Lynn Watts of Spartanburg and Olivia Fay Watts Stuart of Lyman; one brother, Laddie Henderson of Buffalo; and 10 grandchildren. Mr. Watts was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Watts. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Lockhart Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:45PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home Saturday prior to the services. Memorials may be to Medi Home Hospice, 720 S. Duncan ByPass, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 511 Lockhart Dr., Lockhart.
