Lila Faye Price

March 25, 2016 Mrs. Lila Faye Shetley Price, age 89, widow of Willie Wesley Price, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Union Medical Center after a period of declining health. Mrs. Price was born in Union, July 23, 1926, a daughter of the late Marvin Luther Shetley and Ollie Mae Crocker Shetley. She was retired from United Merchants, Buffalo Plant and was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Faye Scott of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sons, David A. Smith and wife Sandra of Union and Roger L. Smith and wife Jean of New Port Richie, Florida; four grandchildren, a nephew, Edward Fallen of Whitmire; 3 step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Price was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Shetley, and grandson, Chris Smith. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Shannon Faulkner. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be J.W. Crocker, Billy Gonce, Edward Fallen, Donald Crocker, Scott Pettit and Aaron Smith. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of her son, David A. Smith, 734 Lover's Lane Rd., Union.
