Linda O'Shields Fowler

Linda O’Shields Fowler of 296 Meansville Road Apt. F5, went home to be with her Lord on August 6th, 2026. She was the widow of the late James H. (Jimbo) Fowler, Jr. whose infant daughter Jennifer Rebecca Fowler predeceased them.

Linda was born in Union on December 23, 1942, the daughter of the late Leonard F. O’Shields, Sr. and Lillie Moore O'Shields. She was retired from State Farm and was a member of Browns Creek Baptist Church where she had served on several committees and had been a pre-school Sunday school teacher for over 18 years.

Surviving are three daughters, Kim (Greg) Lawson of Surfside Beach, Jan Mease of Union and Kelli (Andy) Bailey of Buffalo; a stepson Jimmy Fowler; nine Grandchildren, Cliff Fowler, Lauren Fowler, Leah Lawson, Jamie Beth (Dustin) Smith, Erin (Zach) Simmons, Ashley (Matt) Voiselle, Reid (Ty) Kingsmore, Jacob Flowe and Julia Bailey; ten great-grandchildren, Isaac Fowler-Lawter, Rhett Smith, Ridge Smith, Wilder Smith, Weslie Reid Smith, Emberly Simmons, Parker Voiselle, Abrielle Voiselle, Creed Voiselle and Emma Kingsmore and several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda was predeceased by two brothers, Frank (Ramoth) O’Shields and Larry (Jerry) O’Shields; a stepdaughter Ann Fowler and a great-grandchild Noah Fowler-Lawter.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 9th, 2026 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted the Rev. Brad Goodale. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00PM Sunday at the chapel prior to the services. Burial will be held at Browns Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Greg Lawson, Andy Bailey, Matt Voiselle, Dustin Smith, Cliff Fowler, Zach Simmons, Jacob Flowe and Isaac Fowler-Lawter.

The family is at the home of her daughter Kelli (Andy) Bailey, 115 Putman Road Buffalo, SC 29321.
