Linda Elaine (Fowler) Hodge

Mrs. Linda Elaine Fowler Hodge, age 78, of 168 Edgewood Dr., Union, widow of Marshall Lee Hodge, passed away, Monday, June 7, 2021, at Brookstone Assisted Living in Woodruff.

Mrs. Hodge was born October 3, 1943, in Union, a daughter of the late John McSwain Fowler and Edythe Arnold Fowler Sanlin.  She was a graduate of Union High School and Spartanburg General School of Nursing.  Mrs. Hodge retired as a Registered Nurse from Union Mental Health Center and had previously been employed at Wallace Thomson Hospital as a Surgical Nurse.  She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Brandi Monroe and husband Chad of Union; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Pennington Hodge of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Gregory Andrew "Drew" Harvey, Alexander Reid Harvey, Bethany Hodge Robertson and husband Chazz, Casey Tyler Cash and and wife Noelle, Alayna Peden Monroe, and Claire Olivia Monroe; special cousins, Vic and Diane Taus, Cathy Gregory, and Kathryn Fowler; and special friends, Kathy and Roger Gregory and Dee and Kenneth Gregory.  She was predeceased by two sons, Anthony Mark Hodge and William McSwain Hodge and a brother, Gerald Fowler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Tabernacle Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Gregory Andrew Harvey, Alexander Reid Harvey, Casey Tyler Cash, Chazz Robertson, Garrett Williams, and Tim Kirby.

Visitation will be held immediately following the services at the cemetery.

The family ask that those in attendance follow all COVID-19 Guidelines.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Brookstone Terrace in Woodruff and Compassus Hospice of Gaffney for their love, care, and support of Mrs. Hodge during her illness.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Brandi Monroe and husband Chad, 168 Edgewood Dr., Union, SC 29379.
