Linda K. Holland

Mrs. Linda Knox Holland, age 77, of 116 Springdale Dr., Union, widow of Von Q. Holland, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Holland was born in Union, June 16, 1946, a daughter of the late John "Smiley" Knox and Sibbie Eaves Knox. She was a graduate of Union High School and Cherokee Vocational School. She retired after 20 years from the South Carolina Department of Corrections having served as a correctional officer at Dutchman Facility. She was an active member of Crestview Baptist Church where she was a Vacation Bible School worker and served on the Bereavement Committee. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years.

Mrs. Holland was the youngest and the last surviving member of ten children in her immediate family. She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Sinclair of the home; grandchildren, Jeremy Sinclair and wife Alli, Jacob Sinclair, and Emma Grace Sinclair; great-grandchildren, Kensie Yeadon, Mason McCall, Jeremiah Sinclair, Amelia Sinclair, Rowan Sinclair, Memphis Sinclair, Raelyn Sinclair, and Jaxsten Sinclair and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to Hospice of Greenville for their care of Mrs. Holland during her illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Crestview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Josh Freeman. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Sinclair, Jacob Sinclair, Steve Sinclair, Bryan Farr, Howard Lawson and Robbie Sprouse.

The family will be at the home, 116 Springdale Dr., Union.
