Linda Mcclellan Williams

December 8, 2019 Ms. Linda McClellan Williams, age 74, formerly of Whitmire, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at White Oak Manor at North Grove in Spartanburg. Ms. Williams was born in Whitmire, September 7, 1945, a daughter of the late Claude M. McClellan and Dorothy Kitchen McClellan. She was retired from J.P. Stevens and was active in the Whitmire Senior Citizens group and Meals on Wheels. Surviving are a daughter, Dottie Adams of Union; four sisters, Gayle Stamper and husband Bill of Charleston, Kathy McClellan, Jane Vaughan and friend Lynn Gladden, and Sally McClellan all of Union; a brother, John Ray McClellan of Union and two grandsons, Tristen Brock and Rydder Bevis both of Union. Ms. Williams was predeceased by her special fur baby, Precious. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Robbie Stollger. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the chapel prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Whitmire Meals on Wheels or the Whitmire Senior Citizens group, c/o Whitmire Town Hall, 210 Main St., Whitmire, SC 29178. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Dottie Adams, 107 Arthur Blvd., Union.
