Mrs. Linda Jane Parrish Morrissey, age 82, widow of Thomas W. Morrissey, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Morrissey was born in North Carolina, October 4, 1941 a daughter of the late William and Grace Hester Parrish. She was formerly employed with Bi-Lo and was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are three daughters, Vickie Briggs of Jonesville, Betty Briggs of Newberry and Lisa Campbell and husband Henry of Union; two sons, Harold Dean Briggs and John David Briggs both of Union; two step-daughters, Kara Morrissey of Lyman and Debbie Seay of Garner, NC; one step-son, Tommy Morrissey of Cowpens;  five sisters, Martha Barton, Sue Porter, Joyce Montgomery and husband Robert, and Bridgett Williams  all of Kernersville, NC, and Elaine Barto of Virginia; four brothers, Albert Parrish, and Clinton Parrish and wife Sue all of Kernersville, NC, Vernon Parrish and wife Wanda of Winston Salem, NC and Roy Parrish and wife Terri of Oak Ridge, NC; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, seven step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Bradley Greene, a sister, Wanda Johns and two brothers, Leon and James Parrish.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the chapel prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Dean Briggs, Zander Campbell, Jaden Campbell, Henry Campbell, II, David Briggs and Scott Laws, Jr.

The family will be at the home, 105 Hunters Run Rd., Union, SC 29379.
