Linda V. Spellman

Mrs. Linda Vanderford Spellman, age 68, wife of Herschall Spellman of 101 Scott St., Union, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Spellman was born in Union, January 22, 1948, a daughter of the late Jack and Bonnie Wilkie Vanderford. She was a graduate of Union High School and was a retired manager with Winn Dixie after 22 years. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Jennifer Bain Sprouse and husband Kevin of Mayo; a son, Terry Bain of Fayetteville, TN; four sisters, Betty Bates and husband George and JoAnn Farmer all of Union, Fannie Garcia and husband Frank of Manteca, CA, and Margie Thomasson and husband Willie of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Mack Vanderford of Union and Robert Vanderford and wife Shirley of Buffalo; and two grandchildren, Autum Sprouse and Arron Sprouse. Mrs. Spellman was predeceased by a sister, Ruby Stevens and two brothers, Charles and Paul James Vanderford. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Pastor Bill Randall. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 1414 Neal Shoals Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 101 Scott St., Union and at the home of her sister and brother, JoAnn Farmer and Mack Vanderford, 208 Hillcrest Dr., Union.
