Lois M. Brown

July 21, 2015 Mrs. Lois Moore Brown, age 96, of 216 Cambridge Dr., Union, widow of Lewis T. Brown, passed away, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Brown was born in Columbia, November 10, 1918 a daughter of the late Oliver and Idessy Abbott Moore. She was retired from United Merchants, Union Plant and was formerly employed with Milliken and Co. Mrs. Brown was of the Church of God faith and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are two daughters, Judy Wood of Union and JoAnn Davis and husband George of Waterloo; a son, Carroll Wayne Brown and wife Deborah of Gaffney; special friends and caregivers, Tracy R. Armstrong and Ruth Robertson both of Union, 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was predeceased by three sons, Lewis T. Brown, Jr., Marion Oliver "Mo" Brown and Ronnie Kent Brown; and two granddaughters, Rhonda Tharp and Jamie McClain. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Chaplain Andy Jones. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the services. Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 1060 Boiling Springs Rd., Suite 2, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family will be at the home, 216 Cambridge Dr., Union, SC.
