Lois M. Scott

Mrs. Lois Mull Scott, age 94, widow of Boyd Ray Scott, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Mrs. Scott was born in Whitmire, September 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Cynthia Branch Mull. She was a graduate of Union High School and had retired from Ace Sweater in Union. Mrs. Scott was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are a daughter, Harriett S. Smith and husband Todd of Buffalo; a son, Kenneth L. Scott and wife Judy of Union; a son-in-law, Bobby Horne of Union; grandchildren, Sherri Horne Williams and husband Robert, Scott Horne and wife Jean, Katie G. Ford and husband Kyle, Rev. Robert Scott and wife Kathleen; and Kevin Scott and wife Jessica; great-grandchildren, Noah McCutcheon, Jonah McCutcheon and wife Carlee, Logan Betenbaugh, Kylyn Ford, Ryan Scott, Sadie Scott, Jace Scott, and JoAnna Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Cynthia S. Horne and Betty Raye Horne; a son-in-law, Steve Horne, three sisters, Louise Cool, Azalee Graham, and Elizabeth Morris and three brothers, Lawrence Mull, Jr., Robert Mull, and Fred Mull.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 24, 2026 at Morningside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Scott. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Bobby Horne, Scott Horne, Noah McCutcheon, Robert Williams, Jacob Howell and Joey Haney.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to the CNAs, RNs on C floor at Union Post Acute and to Family Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Scott and her family.

The family will be at their respective homes.
