Lonnie C. “L.C.” Johnson

Mr. Lonnie C "L.C." Johnson, age 75 of 411 Pineland Rd., Union, widower of Alice Victoria Lee Johnson, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his home. Mr. Johnson was born in Union, SC February 28, 1942, a son of the late James Johnson and Eloise Scales Johnson. He retired from Union County School System and was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where he was a member of the choir. Mr. Johnson was a Veteran of the US Army. Surviving are five daughters: Tiffany Scott Moss and husband Matthew, Clarissa Johnson and fiancée Spencer Horne, Cheri McKee Harris and husband Wayne, Janet Weaver and Cammy Weaver Canupp all of Union; a son, Dalton Michael Johnson of Union; two brothers: Jerry Johnson and wife Gail and Lynn Johnson and wife Debra all of Union; six grandchildren: Victoria Rada Lynnlee Moss, Tinsley McKelle Dawn Moss, Bentley David Horne, Madelynn Lee Horne, Emily Canupp and James Canupp. Mr. Johnson was predeceased by two brothers, Ray Johnson and Curtis Johnson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Rev. Mike Scales, Zack Lowe, Cody Dickert, Michael Poole, Ronnie Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, John David Horne and Alan Canupp. Phillip Ward is asked to serve as an honorary pallbearer. Mr. Johnson will be taken to the home, 411 Pineland Rd., Union, Monday afternoon where the family will be receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM.
