Loree Horne

Miss Loree Horne, age 98 of 812 Forest Street, Jonesville, SC passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Wallace Thomson Hospital. Miss Horne was born in Cherokee County, SC September 5, 1915, a daughter of the late Jesse J. Horne and Grace Horne Horne. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired as bookkeeper for Dr. Lloyd H. Southerland Triangle Veterinary Clinic. Miss Horne was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister, Alun H. Gregory of the home; several nieces and nephews including Jim Gregory and wife Rosemary of Jonesville. Miss Horne was predeceased by two brothers, J.T. Horne and Lamar Horne. Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, August 1, 2014 at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Ralph Brown. Active pallbearers will be Roy Hill, Wallace Sanders, Stanley Hodge, Steve Beheler, David Horne and Jim Addis. Visitation will be held 10:30-11:15 AM Friday at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel prior to the graveside service. Memorials may be made to Jonesville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 279, Jonesville, SC 29353. The family is at the home of her nephew, Jim and Rosemary Gregory, 830 Forest Street, Jonesville.
