July 9, 2017 Mrs. Loree James Robinson, age 104, formerly of Beltline Rd., Union, widow of Lewis R. "Diamond" Robinson, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, July 9, 2017. Mrs. Robinson was born in Union, May 9, 1913, a daughter of the late Wade Hampton James and Maggie Spillers James. She was a faithful member, as long as her health permitted, of the First Baptist Church, and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. A fifteen-plus year resident of Ellen Sagar Nursing Home, she was an inspiration to all who met her and loved to talk and laugh with everyone. She participated in many activities of Ellen Sagar, including serving on the Board of Residence and singing in the choir. Mrs. Robinson enjoyed doing crafts, dancing and visits from "Elvis". She was a sweet, loving, Christian lady who was loved dearly by her family and many friends. Surviving are two daughters; Patricia Ann R. Harmon of Union and Jeanette R. Johnson of Inman; two sisters, Hazel Black of Union and Jeanette McDaniel of Flint, MI; a granddaughter, LaShelle A. Limehouse of Goose Creek; two great-grandchildren, Patric C. Limehouse of Ladson and Britton L. Limehouse of Goose Creek; and two great-great-grandchildren; Cameron M. Limehouse and Anna M. Limehouse both of Ladson. Mrs. Robinson was predeceased by and infant son, Lewis R. Robinson, Jr.; two grandsons, Kenneth Wayne Johnson and Michael Robert Johnson; and seven brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Glen Ribelin. The following are asked to serve honorary pallbearers, Christine Erskine, Carol Beheler, Becky Gault and Donna Atkinson. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the services. Memorial may be made to the Union Co. Relay for Life, c/o Beth Lancaster, 800 S. Pinckney St., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at their respective homes.
