Louie J. Dehart, Jr.

Mr. Louie Jacob "Mac" DeHart, Jr., age 70 of Lexington, SC, widower of Christina Neilson DeHart, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at his home. Mr. DeHart was born in Columbia, December 31, 1944, a son of the late Louie Jacob DeHart, Sr. and Alberta Traylor DeHart. He was a graduate of Chester High School and was a retired auto body repairman. Mr. DeHart was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Tina Marie Wilson of Columbia; a son, Louie Jacob "Jake" DeHart, III of West Columbia; two sisters, Lee Ona DeHart Blair of Blair and Sara Jane DeHart Fowler of Union; two brothers, John Wayne "Shorty" DeHart of Carlisle and William Henry "Bill" DeHart of Union; several grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. DeHart was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Sanders and Gwen Padgett and a brother, Richard DeHart. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Kelly Chapel Cemetery in Carlisle conducted by Rev. Mike Scales. Visitation will follow the services at Carlisle United Methodist Church, 4126 Santuc-Carlisle Hwy., Carlisle. The family will be at their respective homes.
