Louise M. Baldwin

Mrs. Louise McKellar Baldwin, age 71, wife of Freddie Baldwin of 4038 Parkins Rd., Sharon, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Baldwin was born in Bessemer City, NC, October 17, 1945, a daughter of the late Emory Johnson McKellar and Dessie White McKellar. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and retired from textiles. Mrs. Baldwin was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Holly Lynne Parkins of Lockhart; a sister, Ruth Candler and husband Bud of Spartanburg; three brothers, Larry McKellar and wife Linda of Greenwood, Jack McKellar and wife Janice of Chester and Steve McKellar and wife Billie Ann of Rock Hill; four grandsons, Spencer Burnett of OH, Adam Parkins and wife Leah of Union, Jonah Parkins of SD, and Jessie Parkins of Sharon; and a number of great-grandchildren. Mrs. Baldwin was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Lee Parkins and a brother, Paul Melton. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Merritt Wentz. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the services. Memorials may be made to Duncan Acres United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 216, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 4038 Parkins Rd., Sharon.
