Lucille B. Braswell

Mrs. Lucille Bailey Braswell, age 97, widow of Spratt Braswell, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, January 1,2025.

Mrs. Braswell was born February 7,1927 in Forest City, NC, the daughter of the late James Lee Bailey and Mae Yelton Bailey.  She was retired from Celanese Fibers.  Mrs. Braswell was a member of Indian Land Baptist Church in Fort Mill, SC. She loved traveling, crocheting, crafting and playing bingo, all activities that brought her happiness.

Mrs. Braswell was married to the late Mr. Spratt Braswell for 52 years. They have two surviving daughters, Vera Monzitta and husband Tom of Boiling Springs and Jane Huggins and husband Rick of Lancaster.  She cherished her three grandsons, Jody Tillman (Miranda), Matt Shaw (Meredith) and Mike Monzitta; her four great grandchildren, Ashley Tillman Gantt (Travis), Luke Tillman, Mary-Grace Shaw, and Ella Shaw. Mrs. Braswell also leaves behind four great-great grandchildren, Payton, Haynes, Landry and Miles Gantt.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings: Arthur Bailey, James Bailey, Viann Bailey and Mary Elizabeth Bailey.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, January 4,2025 at Indian Land Baptist Church, 7583 Charlotte Hwy, Fort Mill, SC. The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be private.

The family wishes to thank Agape Care Group and Lancaster Health & Rehabilitation for the excellent care she received.
