Lucille Davis Burnett

Mrs. Lucille Davis Burnett, age 84, widow of Jack F. Burnett, Jr., formerly of 395 Old Buncombe Rd., Union, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Center. Mrs. Burnett was born in Union, SC on June 15, 1931 a daughter of the late Norman V. Davis and Gertrude Estes Davis. She was first married to the late Richard T. Sizemore. Mrs. Burnett was a graduate of Union High School and was retired from Excel Hosiery. She was a member of Padgett's Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and helped in the nursery. Surviving are a son, Rick Sizemore and wife Lynne of Roebuck; a daughter, Elaine Chitwood of Union; four step children, Jack Burnett, III and wife Tina, Mary Joe Sanders and husband Maxie, Jim Burnett, and John Burnett all of Cross Keys; two grandchildren, Kelsey Lynn and husband Justin of Spartanburg and Tyler Sizemore of Roebuck; four step-grandchildren Kevin Sanders, Lacey Burnett, Jonathan Burnett and wife Meagan, and Jenny Langenfeld and husband John; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Burnett was predeceased by a brother, Robert F Davis. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, October 5, 2015 at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church conducted by Chaplain Rich Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Justin Lynn, Tyler Sizemore, Keith Davis, and Lewis Davis. The nurses and staff of Medi Home Hospice are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held from 1:45 until 2:45 PM at the church prior to the services. Memorial may be made to Medi Home Hospice, 101 S. Boyce St., Suite C, Union, SC 29379.
