Lucille Stewart Craig

Mrs. Lucille Stewart Craig, age 93 formerly of Sedalia, widow of John Edward Craig, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Waterford @ Dillon Point, Spartanburg. Mrs. Craig was born in Union, SC December 31, 1923, a daughter of the late Walker Poole Stewart and Bessie Kate Stewart. She was a graduate of Sedalia School House and was formerly employed with the Hosiery Mill, Saluda, SC. Mrs. Craig was a lifelong member of Padgett's Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are two nieces: Teresa Hoffberg of Union and Melissa Schoeffel of Charleston and a great-niece, Katie Schoeffel of Charleston. Mrs. Craig was predeceased by a sister, Bessie Stewart Malpass. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 5, 2017 at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robin Jones, Stephen Stone, Anthony Schoeffel, Howard Hoffeberg, Jr., Reid Stone and Tommy Inman. Visitation will be held 12:00-1:00 PM in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Padgett's Creek Baptist Church Organ Fund, % Nicole Harmon, 142 Fincher Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at their respective homes.
