Lucille M. Putnam

April 5, 2020 Mrs. Lucille "Lucy" Morris Putnam, age 83, widow of Richard Putnam, Sr. went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Putnam was born October 18, 1936 in Union, a daughter of the late Monroe Morris and Myrtle Johns Morris. She was Retired from United Merchants and Manufacturing-Union Plant. Mrs. Putnam was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter Beth Sprouse and husband Phillip of Union; two sons, Richard Putnam, Jr. of Spartanburg, and Michael Putnam and fiancée' Angie of Jonesville; a brother, Raymond Morris of Union; grandchildren, Eric Sprouse and fiancée', Skylar, Justin Sprouse, Tara Putnam, Allen Putnam and April Perry; great-grandchildren, Brayden Sprouse, Delilah Sprouse, Elijah Guyton and Liam Guyton. Mrs. Putnam was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Justice, grandson, Adam Horne, sister, Ferol Turner Kelly, and two brothers, Horace Vernon "Demo" Morris and James Emmitte "Skillet" Morris. Due to the current health crisis, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Robert Jarvis. Memorials may be made to Crescent Hospice, 839 Main street, Buffalo, SC 29321. The family is at the home of her daughter, Beth and Phillip Sprouse, 500 Hart Street, Union, SC 29379.
