Lula Austin Fowler

Mrs. Lula Lavern Austin Fowler, age 71, 905 Lover's Lane Rd., Union, widow of Woodrow "Fuzz" Fowler, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Union Medical Center. Mrs. Fowler was born in Union, November 26, 1944, a daughter of the late Kate Austin Todd and stepfather, Hoytt Todd. She was a member of Ottaray Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving are a brother, W.S. Austin; a daughter-in-law, Jill Fowler Maness; two granddaughter, Alexis Fowler and Allison Fowler all of Union; special friends, Annette Taggart, Jimmy Todd and John Ingle and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Fowler was predeceased by a son, Jerry Wayne Fowler, a sister, Josephine Todd, and three brothers, Billy, George, and Fred Austin. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Walter Holcombe. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Todd, Steve Austin, Gage Austin, Kaden Austin, Bryan Jarrett and Justin Beheler. Members of the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class of Ottaray Baptist Church are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the services. Memorial may be made to the Lula A. Fowler Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her cousin, Diane Beard, 105 Boyce St.., Union.
