Lynn Shugart Parkins

Mrs. Lynn Shugart Parkins, age 59, wife of William L. "Donnie" Parkins of 2103 Mt. Tabor Church Road, Jonesville passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Parkins was born in Union, SC on December 28, 1955 a daughter of James "Dickie" Shugart of Lockhart and the late Marlene Smart Shugart. She was a native of Lockhart where she was 1974 graduate of Lockhart High School and was a supporter of Lockhart athletics all of her life. Mrs. Parkins attended Lockhart First Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband and father are three sons, Jondavid Parkins of Lockhart, Jared Parkins and wife Christy of Lockhart, and Jordan Parkins and friend Kaitlyn Miller of Lockhart; one sister, Leigh S. Swad and husband Daniel of Pauline; two brothers, Marty Shugart and wife Michelle of Union and Travis Shugart and wife Julie of Lockhart; three granddaughters, Abigayle Parkins, Maddie Parkins, and Ella Kate Parkins Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Lockhart Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Delos Blanton and Rev. Steve Lemons. Active pallbearers will be Gabe Swad, Tyler Shugart, Brett Shugart, Justin Parkins, Rickey McBee, and Chris McBee. Visitation will immediately follow the graveside services. The family is at the home of her son, Jared and Christy Parkins, 2208 Pea Ridge Highway, Jonesville, SC 29353.
