Mabel Fowler Hyder

December 18, 2016 Mrs. Mabel Fowler Hyder, age 88, widow of Claude Thomas Hyder, formerly of 142 Lake Dr., Union, SC., went to be with the lord, Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Hyder was born in Union, SC., October 21, 1928, a daughter of the late James David Fowler and Amanda Jones Fowler. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for the preschool age children. Mrs. Hyder also, attended Kelly Pickney schools. The last surviving member of her immediate family she is survived by a son, Jeff Hyder and wife Stacey. Mrs. Hyder is predeceased by four sisters, Wilma Howell, Nettie Garner, Ann Justice and Nan Howell; and two brothers, Sonny Fowler and Dick Fowler. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Union Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Ronald Davis. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 405 East Main St., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her son, Jeff and Stacey Hyder, 146 Lake Dr., Union, SC 29379.
