Madge Bank Belue Union, Sc

Mrs. Madge Bank Harris Belue, age 91, of 512 Toluca St., Union, widow of Jesse Edward Belue, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Wallace Thomson Hospital. Mrs. Belue was born in Union on August 30, 1922 a daughter of the late Joseph Moody Harris and Julie Palmer Harris. She was a retired caregiver at the former Union County Nursing Home and had previously worked for Milliken and Co. for many years. Mrs. Belue was a faithful member of Tanglewood Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Surviving are six sons, Wayne Belue and wife Marian of Jonesville, Larry Belue of Union, Dennis Belue and wife Debi of Lake Wateree, Neil Belue and wife Carolyn of Union, Ricky Belue of Gaffney and Jimmy Belue and wife Robin of Union; one sister, Lucy Stone of Union; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Belue was predeceased by a daughter, Elaine H. Grady; two sisters, Roxie Garner and Bertha "Pert" McCoy; three brothers, Marshall Harris, J. M. Harris, and Willie Harris. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and nurses of Heartland of Union, Gentiva Home Health and Wallace Thomson Hospital for their care of Mrs. Belue during her illness. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Tanglewood Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Branch and Rev. Glen Ribelin. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. The following grandsons will serve as active pallbearers, Mickey Belue, Jamie Ivey, William Belue, Josh Belue, Jason Belue and Daniel Belue. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church. Memorials may be made to Tanglewood Baptist Church, 200 Velda Dr. Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her son, Neil and Carolyn Belue, 126 Woodhaven Dr., Union.
